KUEC at Global Food Week 2026

Global Food Week brings together industry leaders, researchers and innovators to explore solutions that advance food security and sustainable agriculture. The event takes place from 6–8 October 2026 at ADNEC Centre Abu Dhabi.

Khalifa University Enterprises Company (KUEC), in collaboration with the Abu Dhabi Agriculture and Food Safety Authority (ADAFSA), will showcase four Khalifa University research projects under the Technology Readiness Level (TRL) Program:

• NAWAH: Converts UAE date seeds into high-purity activated carbon for industrial applications.
• DATEVIA: A forward-osmosis hydration bag designed to provide safe drinking water in remote locations and emergencies.
• UV-C Camel Milk Pasteurization: A non-thermal technology that reduces microbes while preserving heat-sensitive bioactive proteins.
• HNK-1: A flexible humidity sensor for monitoring greenhouse plant microclimates.

KUEC will also present specialized laboratory services relevant to the food and agriculture sectors, highlighting opportunities for research, testing and industry collaboration.
