Turning Research into Real-World Impact
Khalifa University Enterprises Company (KUEC) participated in Make it in the Emirates 2026, held from 4–7 May at ADNEC, showcasing how research, technology, and entrepreneurship can translate into market-ready solutions and economic impact.
Throughout the four-day event, KUEC led a dynamic program of panel sessions, industry discussions, technology showcases, and strategic engagements, bringing together Khalifa University researchers, industry leaders, innovators, investors, and partners.

Discussions explored the journey from idea to industry and from lab to market, covering topics such as autonomous systems, artificial intelligence, AI applications in the Oil & Gas sector, venture development, investment strategies, and smart capital. The sessions highlighted the importance of connecting research with industry to accelerate commercialization and support the UAE’s growing innovation ecosystem.

A key milestone during the event was the signing of an MoU between INTRATOMICS, TAQA Water Solutions, and MAGMA to launch a pilot program exploring the conversion of wastewater biosolids into graphene and advanced materials. The collaboration demonstrates how locally developed technologies can contribute to sustainability, circular economy goals, and advanced manufacturing.
The event also provided an opportunity to showcase Khalifa University’s portfolio of advanced research technologies, including innovations in graphene and advanced materials, alongside KUEC’s role in supporting their journey toward commercialization.

KUEC’s participation reflects its continued commitment to bridging research and industry, enabling innovative ventures, and transforming knowledge into solutions that contribute to a stronger, more sustainable and knowledge-driven UAE economy.
